1% for the Planet

We are happy to announce that Dunesi is now a proud member of 1% for the Planet, a global organisation that connects "dollars and doers" to accelerate smart environmental giving.

1% for the Planet was started in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies and since then the members have given more than $175 million to environmental nonprofit organisations. Today, 1% for the Planet is a network of more than 1200 member businesses that are committed to donate 1% of their annual sales to environmental organisations and those focused on issues of environmental sustainability, preservation, conservation, and education.

1% for the Planet has members currently in over 60 countries and Dunesi is their second ever member in the UAE. Hopefully many more will join in the near future!

We feel that all fashion businesses should play a part in designing the best version of our planet's future and would like to urge customers to #purchasefortheplanet and look for the 1% for the Planet logo on websites and products when shopping.

Dunesi is taking small steps towards sustainability in fashion also with our eco-packaging that are made of 100% certified recycled material and with organic cotton washing tags. We are currently busy searching and testing dress materials made of recycled materials so watch this space!
